Barnes move - Philly style

Thanks to Artblog and MAN for their updates on the Barnes move.


In the Inky story the reason for the move is:

"Mayor John Street called the museum one of the "big three" projects - slot machine gambling and an expanded convention center are the others - that will help Philadelphia compete with cities like Boston and New York."

What they don't understand is that NY is the center of the art world because of the world class galleries (Chelsea) and Wall Street. Philly needs much more to be competitive.
